My very first professional commercial in NYC was working as a Lifestyle Print Model for Apple. It wasn’t luck it was doing things right!
If you are just starting up your career, this first step will be a huge key to your success. When I first started out one of the most useful things I did for myself was create a five-year plan with the help of my older cousin who simply told me: “I support you in whatever you do, just make sure you have a plan.” That was the only support I had! If I had a mentor to guide me, to give me the advice that you are about to receive, I could’ve increased the success in my career 100 times more!!!!! If I would have been able to make a plan that not only included me being self-sufficient, but also included the support of friends and family I could have taken the $1400 I made when I booked my first job and reinvested it back into my career. That way, I would have made $50k + within the first few months of having graduated from “The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts” one of the top Film & TV conservatories in the US and Europe. Instead, I had to use it to pay rent. THE STRUGGLE WAS REAL!
